Dua Lipa is a English singer and musician born on 22nd August 1995 at London United Kingdom. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017, after she joined Warner Bros Records. It reached the top 3 spot in the U.K. Charts and produced eight singles. This included Be the one I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. Number One track New Rules as well as the U.K. Number. 1 track New Rules. The album, which has now been certified platinum in a variety of nations around the globe, won her two Brit Awards (in 2018) in the categories of British female single artist, and British Breakthrough act. Dua Lipa, who was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London Born on August 22, 1995. Through her maternal grandmother, she has Bosnian ancestry. Her ancestors are also identified back to Peja, the Kosovo town of Peja. Lipa's two grandfathers both were historians. She has a brother Gjin Lipa, and a younger sister Rina. Lipa began to learn how guitar playing as well as sing under the guidance of her dad Oda. Oda is the lead singer/guitarist of the Kosovan-rock band Oda. In the family, her father would continue to perform music, including music and compositions, as well as songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa began singing around the age of five. When she was in her 9th year, she started singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has performed her cover of If I Am Not Got You and Beautiful from Christina Aguilera and posted it on YouTube. Lipa was offered a recording contract by Warner Bros. Records in 2014. Her first single was released New Love in August of 2015.
